Bird X Protective Netting

Low visibility, UV-stabilized polypropylene netting that won't cause birds to become tangled or stuck, but it will keep them from gobbling up your whole berry crop. Bird X is a 2cm (¾") mesh in a 14 x 14 foot sheet, and it's easy to cut for smaller areas. We have customers who have used this product to keep cats out of their veggie patch by simply laying pieces down on the soil, as it prevents digging.

Bordo Copper Spray

Use on vegetables for blights and leaf spot; on fruits for anthracnose and downy mildew; and on ornamentals for black spot and powdery/downy mildew. Avoid contact with eyes, noes, throat, and skin. Contains copper from tribasic copper sulfate. Copper fungicide is a popular control for many plant diseases. This item is 17cm tall x 7cm wide.

BTK Insecticide

Bacillus thuringiensis
BTK kills any caterpillar that eats it but is harmless to all other insects and animals, including humans. A truly effective biological control. The concentrated solution makes over 30L to control caterpillars on vegetables, fruit and shade trees, ornamentals and evergreens. This item is 19cm tall x 15cm wide.

Bug Off Cream

Use this all-natural, biodegradable product directly on your skin to keep the mozzies from leaving their mark. Safe for use with kids - even pets! This product uses herbal essential oils and a beeswax base. Does not contain mineral oil or eucalyptus oil. This product has a 7cm diameter and is 2cm thick.

Bunny Barrier All Natural Rabbit Repellent

Use this all-natural powder to repel rabbits from your garden. A single application lasts six months, as it does not wash away in the rain. Also effective against deer! This item is 21cm tall x 19cm wide.

Deer Repellent

Plantskydd Deer Repellant is considered the most cost-effective and environmentally safe animal repellant available. Initially developed in Sweden in 1991 in response to commercial forest plantations being decimated by plant eating mammals. The forest industry needed an animal repellant that could last through severe weather and meet Sweden's strict environmental laws. Plantskydd's long-term effectiveness is attributable to the tenacity of its 100% natural, vegetable oil binder in sticking to plants, even under severe snow/rainfall conditions: up to 6 months over winter, 3-4 months in summer. The Swedish name for the product "Plantskydd" translates as "Plant Protection".

Plantskydd Deer Repellant works by emitting an odor that animals associate with predator activity, repelling the animal before it nibbles on plants. Research has proven that odor-based repellants are more effective than other repellant systems where the animal needs to taste treated plants before being repelled. Once animals are attracted to an area and begin feeding, it is more difficult to discourage them from returning. Deer X

This protective netting for gardens and landscaping is made from durable, UV-resistant, recycled plastic for a longer life. The 3/4" mesh prevents deer from chomping your hard garden work. The lgith-weight fencing unfolds to 2.1 x 30.5m (7 x 100') and can be used as a fence around vegetables or flowers, or simply draped over plantings. The black plastic is unobtrusive in the landscape.

Diatomaceous Earth

This duo-bug and slug killer is also effective in killing aphids, cutworms, root maggots, cabbageworms, earwigs, fleas, silverfish, and more. Insects cannot develop resistance. The fine dust cloud sticks to wet plant surfaces and infiltrates insect hiding places. Protect against inhalation. Diatomaceous earth is derived from the finely milled fossiized remains of prehistoric freshwater diatoms. The find dust is "squirted" through the narrow, pointed applicator cap into specific areas such as down into cracks, or directly into insect nests. It is not intended as pest control for broadcast in the garden. This product is 26cm tall and has a diameter of 8cm.

Neem Oil

Neem oil is derived from the nuts of a tropical tree. It can be used indoors to control insect pests. It has the effect of a hormonal blocker, so it takes time to work, but it WILL cauce a radical drop in population over time. We discourage the use of neem oil in the garden, as it is a systemic insecticide. Please use as directed.

Nematodes Capsanem

Capsanem predatory nematodes product contain 50 million nematodes of the species Steinernema carpocapsae, which provide excellent natural protection from several soil dwelling insects, including the larvae of crane flies, and Sod Webworm, Iris Borer, caterpillars, and cutworms. One application provides coverage for 100 m sq (1200 ft sq). West Coast Seeds ships Capsanem once per year, in mid-September. Please reserve prior to September 1st each year.

Nematodes Terranem

The beneficial Terranem predatory nematode Heterorhabditis bacteriophora is the most aggressive species in hunting down and killing thick skinned soil grubs, including the larvae of the European chafer, Japanese beetle, Black Vine Weevil, May and June beetles, and the Asiatic Garden beetle. This nematode is also the best biological control for wireworms, which are the larval stage for the click beetles of the family Elateridae. One package of Terranem contains 50 million nematodes, and comes with complete instructions for application. Coverage of up to 230 sq meters (2,500 ft sq).

Apply in early summer to combat wireworms and weevils. Apply late July/early August to combat next year's European chafer beetle. Apply late summer in combination with Capsanem for further protection. Applying Terranem once, and then 28 days later is thought to be more effective against wireworm infestation. Outdoor temperature must be at least 14°C for Terranem to be effective.
