Beans Bush
These open pollinated green, snap and yellow wax beans that we enjoy, are bred to be stringless and nutritious when picked at the immature stage- we eat the delicious pods while the seeds are small and tender. They supply beta carotene, fiber and some minerals including iron and potassium.
Carson
Carson bush bean seeds are lovely slim, wax beans with a uniform yellow colour and white seeds. Carson offers a reliable high yield, and is resistant to common bean mosaic virus and bacterial brown spot. Plant every two weeks after the last frost right into August. Beans to 14cm (5 1/2") long.

Dragon Tongue
This beautiful, old Dutch HERITAGE variety is good for fresh use or for dried beans. When the flat, stringless 15-18cm (6-7") beans turn from a lime green to yellow with bright purple stripes, they're ready to use for cooking or freezing. They can also be grown to the dry stage for winter use in soups and stews. You should mark some plants for regular picking and leave other plants unpicked to mature for dry beans. Seeds are brown with dark markings. Also known as Merveille de Piemonte.

Eureka
The refined yellow wax pods of Eureka bush beans with tiny pale green tips set these beans apart. Eureka produce big plants which give abundant harvests of tasty, tender 15cm (6") round pods. Seeds are white.

Festina
Festina bush beans produce lush dark green pods dangle on handsome upright plants. The 15cm (6") straight, pods are tender and flavourful and the dark colour promises higher nutrition than most green beans. Resistant to common bean mosaic virus (I gene) and productive in the heat! Seeds are white.

Gina Romano
You will harvest basket after basket of lovely large, flat Gina Romano beans from strong handsome plants! Gina was a standout in our trials for the length of harvest. The flavour of these uniform 8cm (5") Romano beans is robust and the plant is resistant to bean mosaic virus. Seeds are white.

Gold Rush
Long, straight, yellow beans hang in clusters around the main stem on 42-54cm tall bush plants. Easy to pick. Glorious flavour and texture that lasts over a long period for extended harvests, good storage, and fine freezing potential. These beans are tender, stringless, about 12-14cm long, and plants are resistant to mosaic virus and tolerant of root rot.

Golden Child Filet
Golden Child Filet Beans have small 10cm (4") pods on an upright bush filet bean which are a pleasing yellow wax colour. Resistant to bean common mosaic virus, the plants grow 45-60cm (18-24") tall. Lovely flavour and texture, and versatile in the kitchen.

Jade
These refined, straight, tender, gourmet stringless beans grow as medium dark-green, round pods grow 13-18cm (5-7"). Vigorous plants keep bearing over a long period for regular harvests. Beans are held off the ground by stout branches. Jade needs warmer soil to sprout. Seeds are white.

Lynx Filet
Excellent flavour! A compact, upright bush bean that grows to 35-40cm (12-18"), Lynx produces high quality, dark green 13cm (5") pods. Because they're a bit shorter than some other varieties of filet beans, there is less breakage in shipping. Lynx is resistant to bean common mosaic virus.

Maxibel Filet
Maxibel is unsurpassed in flavour and great for fresh market gardeners. Straight, dark-green filet bean pods are stringless and about 18cm (7") long on sturdy bush plants. Maxibel yields in a huge but concentrated harvest so replant every 2-3 weeks. Seeds are brown speckled.

Nickel Filet
Nickel's short 10cm (4") pods are very uniform, dark-green, slender, and stringless. This variety is good for harvest succession after Maxibel. Strong, erect branches hold the pods off the ground on this bush bean. It offers good resistance to foliar diseases and root rot but needs warm soil to sprout. Seeds are white. Perhaps the best flavour of any filet bean!

Royal Burgundy
A vigorous sprouter that grows well in cool conditions, its pretty purple flowers keep blooming to provide a long harvest. Dark purple 13cm (5") pods are held off the ground by strong, upright plants. The pods turn green after cooking. Seeds are beige.

Stayton
A sturdy plant that holds the beans off the ground well, Stayton is an extra fine, uniform deep green. Perfect for the market garden, Stayton has excellent emergence rates in cool soils. Beans to 14cm (5½") long.

Storm
Tasty brown beans in uniform, round, green pods that are 14cm (5 1/2") long. Perfect for the market, these beans also ship well, maintaining their texture and flavour. Bush grows to 60cm (24") tall. Resistant to bean mosaic virus.

Strike
Strike beans grow on an upright bushy plant, but have a continous set unlike most other bush beans, so you can harvest them over a longer period. The 13cm (5") snap beans are medium green, round, stringless, and tasty. Strike bean is tolerant to common bean mosaic virus (CBMV).

Tema
Recommended by Fraserland Organics, this medium sized bush has round, dark-green, fibreless pods at a uniform 13cm (5¼") long, held high on the plant. One of the best market table beans with excellent productivity and gourmet flavour. This brown-seeded variety has outstanding cold soil emergence, so can be planted earlier in the spring. It even did well in the cold spring of 2010, when many other varieties just rotted in the soil.

Venture Blue Lake
Venture Blue Lake bush beans are the best choice for a concentrated set for freezing and canning. Plants heavily produce sweet, tender, dark green pods, 12-15cm (5-6") long.
