Coronado Crown

Coronado Crown broccoli is large main season broccoli with uniform, highly domed blue-green heads makes Coronado Crown a sure winner. The first head is 10-15cm (4-6") across with a tender stem and the side shoots look just like the bins of "broccoli crowns" in the grocery store. Holds without bolting longer than many varieties.

Everest

This broccoli is beautifully domed to shed the rain. Heads are small beaded and are ready super early from a mid-season planting for a a concentrated harvest period. Everest is very sweet and tasty. Heads are 10-15cm (4-6") wide. Stands up to downy mildew and is tolerant to brown bead and head rot.

Gai Lan Green Pearl

Brassica oleracea var. alboglabra
Easy to grow and delicious to eat, this Chinese broccoli is harvested when the flower stalks are 1-2cm thick, just before the flowers open. Each plant can be harvested several times, and all gai lan varieties are relatively cold hardy for fall harvests or winter harvests if some protection is provided.

Gai Lan Midwater

Brassica oleracea var. alboglabra
Chinese broccoli is also known as gai lan. Grow Midwater for a thick flower stalk 1-2cm (1/2-3/4") that is used in stir-fries. Harvest the mild thickened stalk with 2 sets of leaves just as buds form but before the white flowers open. Each plant can be harvested several times. Sow around mid-March (4 weeks before last frost) or transplant when seedlings are 3-4 weeks old. Space plants about 20 x 40cm (8 x 16") apart. Buds and stalks are more substantial than Choi Sum. Best planted in spring and mid-summer. Cole crop.

Green Magic

Perfect for summer harvests, Green Magic broccoli holds well with improved hybrid bolt resistance. Considered a mid/early variety, it's also good for fall harvests. Large heads are blue/green with uniform, tightly packed heads, excellent flavour, and strong resistance to foliar powdery mildew.

Greenbelt

This multi-purpose broccoli, Greenbelt  produces heavy, 12.5-17.5cm (5-7"), domed heads on thick stems. Easy to harvest, it's ideal for fresh use or the freezer and is one of our best-tasting varieties.

Gypsy

The best heat resistance of any broccoli variety, so it holds very well in summer, and is particularly slow bolting. Also good in cool spring and fall weather. Uniform, domed heads are deep green and tasty, and resistant to powdery mildew.

Hybrid Broccoli Blend

The varying growth rates of these 3 vigorous hybrid varieties will provide a variety of flavours and an extended harvest period of about 2 months from a single sowing date. We suggest one early spring sowing and one again in late May or early June to give a nearly continuous harvest of big, succulent broccoli heads to enjoy until fall. All varieties make big side-shoots after the central head is cut. Some varieties grow faster than others; so do not discard the slower growing seedlings.

Natalino

This Romanesco broccoli, Natalino is very similar to Minaret but is a larger plant that matures later. The chartreuse-coloured, pointed buds spiral around 10-13cm (4-5") heads. Natalino is best planted to mature in September to October. Cut promptly while it is still pale-green. Makes a wonderful additon to a vegetable dip tray.

Patron

Patron produces a medium-sized tightly domed head 12-15cm (5-6") with small beads and long slender stems. This sturdy and easy-to-harvest plant produces many side shoots. A mid to late season variety, it is suitable for fresh market, bunching, and crown cuts. Tolerant of downy mildew, hollow core, and brown bead.

Purple Sprouting Broccoli Collection

This new collection offers three varieties of purple sprouting broccoli that mature over a period of nearly nine months! Now home gardeners or market growers can have a fresh supply of hardy, hearty, colourful and nutritious sprouting broccoli. This collection contains one extra early variety for harvesting mid-September into February, one early variety that produces in February and March, and a late variety that is harvested in April and May. Purple Sprouting Cardinal

Late maturing Cardinal produces lots of lovely reddish purple spears from early March all the way to the beginning of May. Bred for cold hardiness and late harvests.

Sorrento Raab

A speedy grower, Sorrento Raab produces uniform dark green florets approximately 5cm (2") in diameter. Gather the tender stems with a few leaves and the unopened flower buds for a reliable and nutritious addition to the kitchen or market garden. Plant in mid to late summer for a harvest well in to winter.

White Star Sprouting

White Star Sprouting Broccoli Seeds produce abundant pretty white broccoli sprouts. Harvest in April and May on this hardy biennial plant sown the previous Spring. Excellent cooked or raw, this variety grows well in our Coastal climate.

Windsor

Early variety produces small to medium semi domes 4-5 inches across. Windsor has a high yield potential and a concentrated harvest period. Tall, clean stalks with tight medium-sized beads. Windsor keeps its dark blue-green color when other varieties have faded. Windsor broccoli makes beautiful market bunches.

Zamboni Raab

Zamboni Rapini has small delicate leaves, stems, and buds, and a flavour slightly on the "wild" side. Plants are approximately 50cm (20") tall and do not produce a central head but abundant side shoots which must be kept picked. Early and productive, plant Zamboni in succession from early spring into summer for salads and stir-fries.
